She made headlines when she broke the record for being the first woman in Africa to drag a nine-ton aircraft for 54 metres.
The massive feat also saw Brendali Theron being crowned the strongest woman in Africa in the lightweight strongwoman category (75kg). That was six years ago – and the 33-year-old has hardly been resting on her laurels since.
Brendali, who grew up in Potchefstroom, has just officially been crowned the strongest woman in the world in her category, taking the title at the World Strongman Championship in Dubai and becoming the first South African to claim the crown.
