London - European stocks slid further at the start of trading on Thursday following sharp losses the previous session.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index lost 0.8% to 6 868.19 points, having slumped 1.4% on Wednesday.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 1.3% at 11 053.58 points and the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.9% to 4 898.35.
