Economic growth is unlikely to be sustainable beyond 2021 and where jobs will be created, this is likely to be among the more skilled workers, which goes against the hope to create a more inclusive economy, says Isaah Mhlanga.

The latest two major economic data released by Statistics South Africa - the gross domestic product (GDP) on 8 June and the Quarterly Labour Force Survey (QLFS) a week before - show an economy whose recovery remains on track but unable to solve the unemployment pandemic.
