JSE-listed packaging and paper producer Mondi said on Friday it's still upbeat after losing out a chance to take over rival DS Smith, buoyed by an improving order book as well as other acquisition opportunities in the market.
Mondi, which had been spun out of Anglo American in 2007, reported on Friday that market conditions continued to improve in its first quarter to end March, with stronger orders boosting sales volumes across its range of paper grades.
