International Container Terminal Services International (ICTSI), the winner of a bid to manage a turnaround of the Durban Port, says its plans to upgrade and expand operations will not be derailed by a court challenge from a losing bidder.
"As far as we're concerned, unless the courts tell us otherwise, it's full speed ahead," ICTSI's global corporate head, Christian Gonzalez, told News24 on Monday.
Speaking following the release of its results for the quarter ending in March, Gonzalez said the global port management company - which operates on six continents - was excited to get stuck in at Transnet's biggest container terminal after it was selected as the winning bidder for a 25-year contract to manage the Durban Container Terminal (DCT) Pier 2 in July last year.
