Eskom does not expect load shedding on Friday, it said in a statement on Thursday evening.
South Africa has experienced a reprieve from rolling blackouts for several days, following its last bout of load shedding when Koeberg's Unit 1 failed as a result of a problem with the seawater circulation pump.
Unplanned breakdowns or outages were at 11 182MW as at 16:10 on Thursday afternoon and planned maintenance outages were at 4 774MW.
The electricity grid remained constrained, it warned, with the risk of load shedding at short notice.
