Johannesburg - Power utility Eskom may seek a bank loan to secure diesel supplies needed to operate some of its turbines, a spokesperson for the state-run company said on Wednesday.
"Our finance division is looking at a number of options. One could include a loan. How the government will assist has not been communicated to us," spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe said.
Eskom needed R3bn ($257m) for diesel until March 31, the end of the utility's financial year, he added.
