Lesedi FM Presenter Nkunyana Nkunyana is back in court where he's facing a charge of gender-based violence.

CONTROVERSIAL Lesedi FM presenter Nkunyana "DJ Skuzabell" Nkunyana is expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Thursday, 2 May.

Skuzabell is facing a charge of gender-based violence (GBV) after he allegedly assaulted his wife in March.

He was allegedly trying to move furniture from his home to his new flat, where he currently lives with his new alleged girlfriend.

The fight started when his wife stopped him from taking their furniture.

Skuzabell's wife, Thakane Ramakau, told Daily Sun that she has been in an abusive marriage for a long time.

She accused Skuzabell of living a lavish lifestyle with his girlfriend while his children were struggling.

The SABC hasn't scheduled Skuzabell since the commencement of his alleged GBV dilemma.

Skuzabell was recently seen on social responding to the criticisms of his alleged GBV.

"As a law-abiding citizen of South Africa, I respect the law and abide by it. That's why I want to give the court the space it needs for the process to unfold. However, once the case is finalised, I will provide further details. Remember that there are always two sides to the story," Skuzabell said.

The DJ's utterances angered Gender Equality spokesman Javu Baloyi, who said the presenter doesn't show any remorse but rather displays arrogance.
