Barely a week after ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa’s leaked audio on the party’s plans to challenge media houses that report negatively about it, the State Security Agency (SSA) has made its first move, targeting the head of SABC news.
In a leaked audio recording of its national executive committee meeting a fortnight ago, Ramaphosa was heard saying the ANC would “challenge” any negative publicity ahead of the polls. He said anyone taking potshots at the party would be “fiercely confronted”.
