On Tuesday Twitter doubled the number of characters one can use in their posts from 140 to 280.
Which means users can voice their opinions in much longer posts. Prior to the increase Twitter had tested it out on a few people to see if there was a difference in the number of followers, retweets and likes.
While some might have preferred an option to edit their posts rather than a character increase, many still made time to laugh about the matter.
