Johannesburg - The South African iStore has announced that it will begin sales of the new iPhone 8 on Friday October 20.
iStore is making two offers in celebration of iPhone’s 10th anniversary: the Free iCare Plus and the Double Trade In.
Free iCare Plus offers the first customers who upgrade to the new iPhone 8 at the iStore a free two-year extended warranty, and Double Trade In allows customers to trade in not only one, but two qualifying iOS products towards the upgrade of a new iPhone 8. The offers are unique to iStore.
iStore has not yet announced the availability of the new iPhone X, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the iPhone in South Africa.
Prices of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have also not yet been announced.
Last month, Apple announced its iPhone 8 and 8 Plus flagship devices alongside the 10-year anniversary iPhone X.
The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus promise to have the highest video capability in a smartphone, according to Apple. It said the iPhone 8 would retail from $699 and the 8 Plus from $799 in the US.
The iPhone X - pronounced "iPhone 10" - features Super Retina Display on its almost borderless screen.
