Cape Town - Chinese electronics company Hisense has partnered with a local TV channel as a technical sponsor.
The partnership with Cape Town TV will see Hisense support for two shows: Cape Rugby TV and Sports Federation TV.
"The Cape Rugby TV technical sponsorship not only aligns us with one of the top three most popular sports in South Africa, but is also a great channel," said Ryan Curling, brand manager at Hisense South Africa.
Both shows will sport the new Hisense Ultra High Definition televisions for production and graphics.
"As one of Cape Town TV's top shows, this sponsorship of Ultra High Definition televisions enables much improved background graphics which will greatly enhance the viewers’ experience," said Cape Rugby TV Producer, JP Naudé.
Hisense has demonstrated a strong focus on local production of appliances at the company's Atlantis factory and will in September launch a new line of smartphones.
As part of a brand building exercise, Cape Rugby TV will give away Hisense mobile phones in weekly competitions.
