Cape Town - Online shopping in South Africa is on the rise and vendors are in a race to provide the best service experience for people who shop online.
The top South African sites for e-commerce were announced on Thursday with Naspers-owned Kalahari.com walking away with the title of favourite website.
Despite the push from companies to embrace online shopping, there are many risks - especially for people who are new to the process.
"Yes, there are some inherent risks (just as there are with shopping offline) but if some basic precautions are taken, one can minimise these risks substantially," Andy Higgins, Managing Director of uAfrica.com told Fin24.
The company sponsored the awards held at the eCommerce Conference, now in its ninth year.
