Johannesburg - Software giant Microsoft has helped online property portal, Property24, launch an application for Windows devices.
Development of the Windows app launch comes after Property24’s iPhone and iPad application soared to the top top of the lifestyle category of the iTunes Store earlier this year. The Property24 app was even recognised at the MTN Business App of the Year Awards 2014.
Microsoft South Africa has helped the property listings website develop its Windows application.
“Microsoft South Africa is proud to be working with Property24, one of the largest property search portals in South Africa,” said Clifford de Wit, Developer Experience Lead at Microsoft South Africa, in a statement.
“We strive to ensure that our customers have locally relevant apps that help them in their everyday lives, and by bringing the Property24 apps to the Windows platform, we will be doing just that,” de Wit added.
Features of the Property24 app on Windows include being able to help buyers access properties that meet their requirements, and contact relevant estate agents directly from the app.
Other features include being able to view high-res photo galleries and access an interactive map search.
JP Farinha, CEO of Property24, said, “Having seen the success of our mobile apps across many devices, bringing Property24.com’s user-friendly and enjoyable property search experience to Windows devices was the logical next step.”
