Cape Town – Gamers in SA are set to drool with the launch of a dedicated laptop aimed specifically at them.
The Notebook Company on Monday announced a laptop aimed at gamers with a massive price tag.
The Asus Rog GX700 liquid cooled laptop comes with an Intel Mobile K-SKU processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 graphics, and DDR4 RAM.
It’s priced at a whopping R120 000, the most expensive in SA, said the company.

“The Asus Rog GX700 is a beast of a laptop – and a gamer’s dream come true,” said Christopher Riley chief executive of the Notebook Company.
Gaming is a growing sport in SA and top notch equipment is essential for ambitious gamers.
“Just as you would not take a Mini Cooper into an F1 race, the incorrect equipment can hamper your chances of success. eSports is a sport of nanoseconds, and, equipment that is outdated or not of the proper standard can be the difference between winning or losing,” Colin Webster, general secretary of Mind Sports South Africa told Fin24.
A gaming desktop PC sells for around R23 000, but the Asus laptop is easier to transport, albeit at the cost of a new Datsun Go.
