Johannesburg - Dual cameras are all the rage as the latest feature to be added to smartphones developed by top manufacturers.
Most recently it was rumored that the next Apple iPhone would likely be fitted with two cameras on the rear of the device.
If online tech gossip is to be believed, the next iPhone will join the ranks of numerous devices already on local market to offer dual camera functionality.

Dual cameras are set to be a game-changing feature in the world of smartphone photography, turning the most amateurish of newbies into seasoned pros at the tap of a button.
The functionality allows for the user to manipulate the depth of field of the image being captured, keeping the subject in focus and the background out of focus.
This in turn creates an image that looks as if it were captured on an Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera.
