The device also features a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel facing camera with a 2 500mAh battery.
Devices with a similar price point do not normally encompasses features such as a metal frame, fingerprint recognition and gesture control.
However, the Faith 1 breaks the mold in including these features.
The higher spec device - the Elegance 1 - is priced at R3 999. At this price point, it is likely to be one of the cheapest phablets available right now.
The device features a full HD 5.5 inch display, 3GB of RAM and a 3 000mAh battery. These are the only specs that set it apart from the Faith 1.
Both devices boast faster charging. However, the Elegance 1 sports a slightly smaller battery than most other phablets. It also supports a larger display.
Meanwhile, the battery in the Elegance 1 might offer a similar battery life to most smartphones today – about a day or so on medium usage.
Both devices are available at local retailers.
