Johannesburg – As long as women are subjected to violence, government’s mandate to empower them will not be achievable, said Advocate Joyce Maluleke.

She represented Minister of Women in the Presidency, Susan Shabangu at the inaugural Top Women Conference, held at Emperor's Palace on Wednesday.

The conference was themed around the significance of the 60th anniversary of Women’s month and the goal to reach the 50:50 gender parity by the year 2030.
