Johannesburg - You don't need to spend a bucket load of money to add value to your pool.
That is the advice from Russ Curtis, owner of Curtis Pools, who shared some tips with Fin24, on how home owners can dazzle up their pool.
He said a landscaper has a very big part to play when you are building a pool.
Why? Because the landscape around your pool is almost as important as your pool itself.
Curtis said that some simple ideas can significantly transform your pool from the mundane to the extraordinary - and at a very small cost.
Some of these include putting up a couple of big pots in the background, different coloured bushes or even a retaining wall.
"If you decide five years down the track that you are tired of that pot, throw it away, get rid of it, change it, put a stainless steel thing up there, at what cost? At very, very little cost. And when your friends come around, they can think wow, you have gone to spend a bucket load of money because your whole area has changed".
