There is a spousal exemption in divorce cases where the transfer from one spouse to the other is exempt from transfer duty. An attorney will do the transfer for you - you will still need to pay attorney transfer fees (but this is far less than transfer duty). The fee amount will depend on the purchase price or value of the property. Make an appointment with a conveyancer and he will advise you.
