Wow, Sunday Night Live

Fin24 user Ike Jakson writes:

IT WAS a dreary Friday, though I had done very well for the week by getting out of the market by Wednesday the 17th - but the weather had turned lousy by Friday night.

The Sharks livened things up a bit in Durban, and matters started looking even better when Province scraped through against the Lions.

But Sunday was cold, windy and dreadfully quiet in the Upper Sandveld region. My neighbour's family came out from Velddrif but there was nothing on Fin24; it seemed an uneventful day and week were about to end in that manner.

Something must have happened somewhere just on 16:00. I opened Fin24 and news of Trevor Manuel hit me in waves. Trevor and more of Trevor; it seemed as if it would go on all night!

Heck, he made David Letterman’s Saturday Night Live in America look like a little side show.

The crowds got the scent and never or rarely have you seen everybody doing us so proud. Comments came in floods. I went to bed at 20:00 as behoves a young guy of 72, but woke up just after midnight and logged on.

There was more of Trevor. He was even sporting a new beard since the last image I saw of him and if the photo is recent, Trevor is certainly maturing gracefully.

Trevor was always a man for style and since going with pretty Maria they have done each other proud.  Certainly last night belonged to the two of them.

Thanks Fin24.  Hi, Trevor, it's good to see you, lad.
