Hong Kong - Hong Kong stocks gained ground in early trade on Tuesday, recovering some losses from recent choppy sessions caused by concerns about the global economic growth outlook.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.49%, or 123.78 points, to 25 568.84 in the opening minutes.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was flat, easing 0.34% to 2 567.76.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was also barely changed, giving up 0.26 points to 1 280.82.
