European stocks steady at open

Europe's stock markets stabilised in opening trade on Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.1% at 7 272.60 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 also shed nearly 0.1% to 11 950.55 points, while the Paris CAC 40 was almost flat at 5 250.76 compared with Friday's close.
