London - European stocks fell as investors dumped technology shares while assessing political events in the UK and France.
The Stoxx Europe 600 Index dropped 0.6% at 09:38. Technology shares led the declines, following their peers in US and Asian markets, with the European tech sector heading for its worst drop since October 2016.
The Stoxx 600 rose 0.3% on Friday, boosted by gains in the UK’s FTSE 100 Index.
