Europe's main stock markets soared at the start of trade on Friday along with hopes for a resolution to the China-US trade row.
After twenty minutes of trading, London's benchmark FTSE 100 index of major blue-chip companies was up 0.7% at 7 169.16 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 also surged 1.4% to 11 629.27 points and the Paris CAC rose 1.3% to 5 150.21.
