European stock markets stable at open

London - Europe's stock markets held steady at the start of trade on Friday with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index adding almost 0.1% to stand at 7 706.89 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 was virtually unchanged at 13 023 points, while the Paris CAC 40 receded 0.2% to 5 533.41 compared with the closing level on Thursday.
