European stock markets open mostly lower

Europe's stock markets mostly receded at the start of trade on Tuesday with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.3% to 7 715.23 points.

In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 shipped nearly 0.2% to 5 464.88 points compared with the closing level on Monday, while Frankfurt's DAX 30 was almost unchanged at 12 766.16.
