European stock markets mixed at open

Europe's main stock markets diverged at the start of trade on Thursday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.3% at 7 209.39 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index rose 0.4% to 11 448.65 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.1% to 5 200.12, compared with Wednesday's close.
