European stock markets fall at open

London - Europe's major stock markets fell at the start of trading on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.2% to 7 695.47 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.2% to 12 947.97 points and the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.2% to 5 529.39, compared with the closing levels on Monday.
