London - European stock markets rose at the start of trading on Wednesday following gains in Asia and on Wall Street.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index climbed 0.4% to 7 046.14 points compared with the close on Tuesday.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index advanced 0.4% to 11 355.80 points and the Paris CAC 40 gained 0.3% to 4 998.14.
