European stock markets climb at open

Europe's main stock markets rose at the open on Wednesday following gains in Asia and on Wall Street.

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index climbed 0.4% at 7 656.73 points compared with Tuesday's closing level.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index gained 0.5% to 12 728.41 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.4% to  5 441.54.
