European equities weaken at open

Europe's main stock markets receded on Monday at the open, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.1% at 7 314.20 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.6% to 12 044.96 points, and the Paris CAC 40 lost almost 0.3% to 5 345.85, compared with the closing levels on Friday.
