Hong Kong - Chinese shares extended losses on Tuesday, hit by concerns over the state of Asia's top economy after the central bank fixed the yuan currency lower against the US dollar.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slid 1.13% to 2 827.29 by the lunch break.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.99% to 1 728.00.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index dropped 0.72% to 20 288.33.
