Kung-fu helps Scott break through in business

Scott Cundill is not only the founder and CEO of Majestic3.com, but a kung-fu expert. He shares his journey as an entrepreneur with Fin24.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I have 18 years in the internet marketing game, as well as being a published author and public speaker. I also represent South Africa at Shaolin kung-fu.

How or why did you become an entrepreneur?

I started a game in high school where fellow students could buy a square on a map. At the end of the month one lucky person would become the winner and get a percentage of the money collected.

I would either become an entrepreneur or a gambler – thank goodness I chose entrepreneur.

What is your business?

We help customers grow their business by building and improving the relationships they have with their clients and customers.

We create “journeys” that position them as experts and communicate in an authentic and genuine way.

What were the challenges?

Getting a strong financial foundation is always difficult. You have to get your cash flow to a point where you are not chasing your tail – once you have that you can then get creative and make real decisions to guide the future of the business.

What are good qualities for an entrepreneur to have?

You have to be patient, you have to be different and you have be able to make very tough decisions  – and take the flack for making them.

What is your recipe for success?

(Laughs) If there was a recipe for success I would be offering you a set of DVDs right now that teaches it.

What are you passionate about?

For the last decade I have been passionate about my business, my family and kung-fu.

More recently, I have become extremely passionate about alternative currencies, which I believe are going to rock the financial system like Uber rocked the taxi industry.

What are the future plans for you and your business?

To launch globally. We are setting up a footprint in the UK and Europe, quickly followed by the US and Australia.
