Johannesburg - More work must be done to improve investment prospects and to encourage youth employment in particular, while not neglecting older workers, according to President Jacob Zuma.
He spoke at the second annual SA Premier Business Awards, which were announced in Sandton on Wednesday.
He also said more work must still be done to increase the number of small and medium enterprises in SA.
Hosted by the department of trade and industry (DTI), Proudly South African and Brand SA, the awards recognise business excellence.
They honour enterprises which promote the spirit of success and innovation as well as job creation, good business ethics and quality.
“The success of the recipients of these awards this evening demonstrates that our country promotes innovation and success and that opportunities are being utilised to grow businesses and prosper," said Zuma.
