Ravi Govender

RAVI GOVENDER is the head of Small Enterprises at Standard Bank.

He joined Standard Bank in 2000, and has held several positions during his tenure, including running productivity and costing, global credit IT and operations.

Prior to this, Ravi trained as an industrial engineer, and received an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch. He worked in both the textile and transport industries before joining Standard Bank.  

Ravi’s extensive experience in project management, process re-engineering, and strategic and financial management has contributed greatly to the posts he has filled at Standard Bank over the past 14 years.

Ravi’s main objective is the pursuit of excellence in business leadership and transformation. His special interests include strategy, marketing, operational efficiency and people development with a view to maximising business growth and profitability.
