There is no rift with finance minister – Moyane

May 17 2016 16:00

Cape Town – South African Revenue Services (Sars) National Commissioner Tom Moyane said on Tuesday that his relationship with Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan is "cordial" despite long-standing reports of a rift between the two.

At a public function in February, Gordhan criticised Moyane for defying instructions to halt a restructuring exercise at Sars, underlining rising tensions between the finance ministry and the tax collection agency.
