The Department of Energy announced on Monday that the fuel price would go up by as much as R1 per litre, taking the price to a record high of R17/l.
The fuel hikes kick in on Tuesday at midnight.

A 2l bottle of Coca-Cola
A 500g bag of dried lentils.
A loaf of bread.
A 400g can of pilchards.
A 1kg bag of sugar.
A 750ml bottle of tomato sauce.
