Cape Town - Transformation in the labour sector is moving at a snails pace, according to the Commission for Employment Equity (CEE).
Findings obtained from equity reports received for 2016 showed that the majority (68.5%) of top management positions were occupied by the white population, contrasting with 14.4% of positions occupied by the African population.
More than three quarters (78%) of these positions are occupied by males, with females only taking up 22% of the positions. Persons with disabilities only constitute 1.2% of top management level positions.
