Business Unity SA has appointed Cas Coovadia as its new permanent chief executive officer.
He has been serving as the business lobby group's acting head since Tanya Cohen stepped down in July 2019.
The announcement comes a week after Coovadia retired as managing director of The Banking Association SA. He was succeeded by Bongiwe Kunene.
BUSA President, Sipho Pityana, said in a statement that Coovadia "brings a wealth of organisational and strategic experience and skills" to the organisation.
