Cape Town - South Africa is home to over 2 000 individuals with a wealth of $10m and more, with the bulk of them living in Johannesburg, new research released on Wednesday showed.
According to New World Wealth's 3rd annual wealth report on South Africa the average age of multi-millionaires in South Africa is 55 years, slightly below the worldwide average of approximately 56 years.
Of the 2 060 multi-millionaires, 124 (6%) are 40 years and younger, while 9% are over the age of 70. The majority (37%) are aged between 51 and 60 years.
