Numsa condemns killing of shop stewards

Johannesburg - The National Union of Metalworkers of SA (Numsa) on Thursday condemned the killing of three of its shop stewards in KwaZulu-Natal.

"Numsa outrightly condemns what looks like a well-calculated and dastardly killing of its three shop stewards... in Isithebe," KwaZulu-Natal regional secretary Mbuso Ngubane said in a statement.

Isithebe secretary Njabulo Ndebele, his deputy Sibonelo "John-John" Ntul and Ntobeko Maphumulo were killed on Wednesday night on the way back from a union meeting in Durban.

A fourth person who was with the three was wounded and is in hospital.
