Sandton – The Energy Department is currently in the process of formulating a new bill to replace the independent system and market operator (Ismo) bill, which the ANC NEC threw off the table this year.
“The Ismo bill in its current format is off the table,” said acting director general of the department of energy Dr Wolsey Barnard.
“There will be a new bill that will be developed that is fit for the current situation and not create any instability within the electricity supply,” he said.
