Johannesburg - A total of 1 502 jobs have been created in the North West agricultural sector, the provincial government said on Monday.
Spokesperson Lesiba Kgwele said the implementation of 401 projects across the province had helped to create employment.
"Over 19 681 farming community beneficiaries in the North West province were supported through a job creation plan for agriculture over the past financial year," said Kgwele.
North West premier Thandi Modise announced the figures on Friday in her state of the province address.
