Johannesburg - South Africa's power grid remained stable on Sunday, Eskom said.
Spokesperson Andrew Etzinger said no power cuts were expected.
On Friday, Etzinger said deliberate power cuts became necessary on Thursday evening due to constraints on the power system.
However, deliberate power cuts over the weekend appeared unlikely, he said at the time.
"At this stage, the grid is stable."
Generally, the power system was under the greatest pressure on weekday evenings between 5pm and 9pm, said Etzinger.
