This small business owner says he is about to close his metal working operations and import complete products from China. He writes:
Strikers forced us to open our premises to them in order that they can search for staff who defied the strike.
Some 300 were outside singing and chanting and shaking our gate and fence. They were apparently "tipped off" that staff were at work.
Fearing for our lives and damage to our operation, we let two of the leaders in. They even searched the stationery cupboards to find employees.
We have eight metal workers and 50 non-metal workers and all were too afraid to come to work.
We are about to close our metal working operations and import complete products from China.
This mail is sent from Shanghai where I am busy negotiating an import strategy.
