Goodyear workers on strike

2012-10-23 13:05

Johannesburg - Workers at a Goodyear factory went on strike on Tuesday, to protest a change in the company’s policy toward allowances for breaks, the National Union of Metal Workers said.

The union did not say how many of the employees it represents were on strike.

Mining and transport sectors have been engulfed in wildcat strikes since August as workers demand higher wages or better conditions.

Close the doors and let them take an extended meal break....soon there will be no money for food.

Besides the idiots who already crucify the strikers, maybe the reporting should indicate what the new break policy is compared to the old policy, and then jo public can voice his or her intelligent response.
