Johannesburg - South Africa's net gold and foreign exchange reserves fell to $47.211bn at the end of February from $48.13bn in January, data from the Reserve Bank showed on Thursday.
Gross reserves dipped to $50.374bn in February from $51.227bn in January while the forward position, which represents the bank's unsettled spot or swap transactions, was also lower at $4.669bn from $4.791bn in January.
