Low risk of load shedding - Eskom

Aug 07 2018 19:14

Eskom did not have to implemented rotational load shedding on Tuesday and the prognosis remains low for Wednesday morning.

This is the same as the risk of load shedding Eskom advised on Monday.

"There is a low probability of rotational load shedding tomorrow morning, but the risk increases for the evening peak period from 17:00 to 21:00," Eskom said in a statement.

"Customers are advised to keep checking their load shedding schedules on the Eskom and their municipal website, and plan on the assumption that load shedding will take place."

Eskom will provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.

Last week Eskom indicated that there will be a high risk of load shedding until Sunday 2 September. Eskom has asked businesses and the public to use power sparingly during this period.
