Eskom announced on Thursday evening that it would not implement load shedding.
"Eskom has not implemented rotational load shedding [on Thursday]. We thank our staff for working tirelessly and all our customers for using electricity sparingly during this period, assisting us to pull through the evening peak.
The risk of rotational loadshedding remains high for [Friday] from 05:00, but it will only be implemented if absolutely necessary. This as a result of the industrial action and the impact on Eskom’s operations."
SA experienced three hours of load shedding for the first time in a month on Tuesday evening. The power utility has since not implemented load shedding, but has urged South Africans to keep planning is if load shedding will take place, and consult load shedding schedules.
Schedules can generally be found on the websites of municipalities. Customers who get their electricity directly from Eskom can find load shedding schedules on Eskom's website.
